The University is required by the federal government to make deductions from salaries in accordance with the withholding tax laws. Deductions depend upon salary, marital status and number of allowances claimed. Each faculty, staff and student employee must visit the University Personnel Relations office and complete the withholding tax form required by the state and federal governments. Any change should be reported immediately, including an address change.
There is no state income tax in Florida.
