8.21 Faculty Committee on Student Academic Relations

The Committee on Student Academic Relations hears appeals from students concerning decisions about their academic work which they believe to have been arrived at improperly or unprofessionally in departments and schools. The Committee is composed of five faculty members appointed annually by the Faculty Senate Steering Committee with the advice and consent of the Senate for staggered two-year terms and two students, one undergraduate and one graduate, appointed annually by the President of the University. The Committee elects its chair annually from the faculty representatives and reports its findings and recommendations to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
