8.24 Religious Life

The Florida State University recognizes the vital role which religion can play in contemporary living. Traditionally the University has encouraged students and faculty alike to participate in the continuing search for spiritual values and ethical standards. All are urged to express their religious convictions in ways appropriate to those convictions.

Most organized religious activities on campus are carried out by the various denominational and other student religious groups. Many churches have centers adjacent to the campus and provide trained professional leadership for these centers. Other denominations use the facilities of nearby churches or have campus organizations which are assisted by faculty advisers.
