8.4 FAC Rule 6A-10.30: "The Gordon Rule"

This rule seeks to insure that all students have extensive graded writing assignments and at least two courses in college mathematics at the level of college algebra and above or show equivalent course credit. Florida State University has incorporated the requirements of this rule in the Liberal Studies Program. To satisfy the requirements of this rule, students must complete, with a grade of "C-" or better in each course, the Liberal Studies requirements in Area I (Communication: English Composition and Mathematics), Area II (History), and Area IV (Humanities).
